BGK - BACKED CURVED DIRECT DRIVE FAN
BGK is BVN's ducted heat recovery unit - a central ventilation unit with heat recovery for buildings that need large amounts of fresh air. It supplies fresh air and extracts stale air at the same time, transferring the heat or coolness of the outgoing air to the incoming air.
How it works
The core of BGK is a high-efficiency plate heat exchanger. The exhaust and fresh air streams never mix - heat passes through the plates. As a result, fresh air is pre-heated in winter and pre-cooled in summer. This reduces the load on the heating and air conditioning system, its initial investment and its operating costs.
Construction
- Galvanized sheet steel casing with polyethylene thermal and acoustic insulation;
- Plug fans with closed external rotor motors for supply and exhaust;
- Air filters;
- Condensate pan to drain condensate from the heat exchanger;
- Control panel for adjusting fan speed;
- Optional electric heater with low and high limit safety thermostats.
Fans and filters are easy to access, which simplifies maintenance. Maximum transported air temperature is 40°C.
Applications
Schools, hotels, shopping and business centres, hospitals, villas and other buildings that need large volumes of fresh air. If you need fresh air supply with heating and cooling in one unit, see BGK-HP - the heat pump version. For ventilating individual rooms without ductwork, the wall-mounted heat recovery unit ZEPHYR is a better fit.
The model is selected by the required airflow and the resistance of the duct network. See full technical data on the manufacturer's page via the link below, and contact us for help with selection.
